LOXWOOD manager Barry Hunter hopes his side’s three week lay off can signal the start of a climb up the County League Division 2 table.
Goals from Matt Hoyte and substitute Paul Walshe saw the Magpies twice come from behind to snatch a point in a 2-2 draw at Little Common. And after displaying character on the long trip to East Sussex, Hunter wants Loxwood to kick on.
“A year ago we were top of the division at Christmas, but after all the snow in January we didn’t really come back and ended up fifth,” Hunter said.
“Maybe this year we can reverse those fortunes and start to put a run together now we have had this break.”
