Loxwood FC celebrated their rise into intermediate football last week with a one-off match.

The club staged a Loxwood Legends vs Loxwood Masters contest featuring ex-players and management who have been part of their club during the Magpies’ rise from Division 5 Central of the West Sussex Football League to Division 2 of the Sussex County League.

The gathering of ex-players and management allowed the club to look back fondly on the seccesses since the club was re-formed 1998, taking in multiple promotions and the SCFL Division 2 Cup final. Orgainsed by Mat Wroe and Barry Hunter the evening was a huge success. Long-term supporter Victor Gladwish made a presentation, and an auction and charity raffle was held in the clubhouse after the game, which allowed players past and present to reminisce.
