Midfielder Kevin Keehan looks set to be the first departure from Horsham’s title-winning side.

The former Brighton & Hove Albion youngster and Bradford City hopeful has joined his former Southern Combination League side Shoreham as assistant manager.

Keehan, who had an injury-hit season with Horsham, will be a big loss as they prepare to return to the Ryman League.

Hornets boss Dominic Di Paola rates the combative midfielder highly, describing him as a ‘warrior’ and ‘winner’ this season, who they miss when he isn’t playing.

Keehan was Mussels’ joint manager in 2011-12 and will join up with new boss Bryan O’Toole as an player/assistant.

The Middle Road side have signed Andy Pearson and Kevin’s brother Joe Keehan from Burgess Hill and Rob O’Toole from Haywards Heath.

At the club’s end of season awards on Saturday, Ash Jones was named as the manager’s player of the season. The management team won an award for the club’s hugely successful season.

Joe Shelley was the supporters’ player and secretary Jeff Barrett won the president’s award for his services to the club.
