HORSHAM manager John maggs admitted he was reeeling after watching his side almost throw away a 3-0 lead by having three men sent off in their 3-2 win against Hastings.
Gary Charman had given the Hornets a seemingly unassailable 3-0 advantage with a sublime hat trick - but he was one of three Horsham men to see red, along with Paul Kennett and Michael Hector, in a crazy last half hour.
Against eight men, Hastings pulled goals back through Russell Eldridge and Kenny Pogue, but a spirited Horsham rearguard action kept hold of the lead.
Maggs said: “I’ve not been in a game like that in my life.
“I have mixed feelings, the goalkeeper and the players who remained on the pitch were outstanding, brilliant.
“I had 20 minutes in with the players after the game to work out what went on. I am happy with the points but we now miss those players at a vital time.”
