STRIKER Ashley Paul Robinson has been released by Horsham Football Club after less than a month with the Hornets.
The former Crystal Palace man was signed after a short spell at landlords Horsham YMCA, and scored in the 1-1 draw with Hastings. But he has drawn criticism from fans for his overall contribution to the team.
Boss John Maggs decided to let Robinson go, despite the expiration of the loan transfer window which means he would be unable to bring anyone new in to replace him.
Maggs said: “I needed more energy. I hold my hands up and admit I got that one wrong.”
