Several members of last season’s Horsham squad have left the club this week as Simon Colbran continues to shape his new look Hornets.

Striker Andy Atkin, Louis Hollingsworth, Ciro Donadio, Yinka Salaami and Dan Morris have departed, while young defender Jake Jacobs is also on his way after earning a scholarship in America.

And manager Colbran is not too concerned about losing players.

He said: “To be honest, I do not want to keep hold of anyone if they are not committed. I am not even thinking about players who are not here, I am thinking about what I can do in the future. I’m glad for Jake.”

Meanwhile, Colbran has officially signed four of the players who are joining the club.
He was not able to secure signatures before July 1, but so far Gary Charman, Chamal Fenelon, Matt Simpson and Tony Nwachukwu have put pen to paper.
Colbran will also run the rule over ‘eight or nine’ players who have impressed in trial matches. Colbran added: “We have 30 players training at the moment, I want to get that down to 22 in the next two weeks and 20 for the start of the season.”
