STRIKER Jamie Brotherton has become the latest addition to Horsham’s squad.
The former Worthing man has signed from Whitehawk as Hornets manager John Maggs looks to strengthen his squad for a relegation battle.
Horsham are currently sixth bottom of the Ryman Premier, six points above the drop zone. Maggs is also hoping to confirm a loan deal for a Reading centre back today (Friday).
“It’s four from six teams and we have to make sure we are not one of them,” he remarked.
“Jamie is a player I have always been keen on and I wanted to take him here before he went to Whitehawk.”
Meanwhile, Horsham’s need for depth is likely to be highlighted in Saturday’s trip to Cray Wanderers. Steve Davies is doubtful with an ankle injury, Jamie Cade is still recovering from a kick to the head in midweek, while Mark Knee (groin) and Paul Kennett (foot) are also injury doubts.
