GARY Charman will continue his defensive duties at the heart of Horsham’s backline for tonight’s Sussex Senior Cup quarter final replay against Burgess Hill.
The attacking midfielder impressed as centre back in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Cray Wanderers and with skipper Ben Andrews still missing through injury he will again be given the nod.
John Maggs will have to pick his team without trio Alan Mansfield, Jamie Cade and Ashley Robinson who are all cup-tied, and there are doubts over the fitness of Mark Knee at left back.
Williams Peauroux will take Knee’s place if the former Worthing man fails a fitness test before the game, and Horsham will also be without striker Pat Harding who this week left the club to join Whitehawk.
Boss John Maggs said: “Gary Charman was outstanding Saturday and I have no qualms with putting him in again, he’ll continue at the back in what is a key game.
“We don’t have the luxury of having a big squad, so every player I have got will be used tonight.”
The winner of tonight’s game will face either Brighton & Hove or Lewes in the semi-finals, with the final taking place at Brighton’s new stadium The Amex.
