HORSHAM manager Simon Colbran believes he is giving his troops a head start before dropping down into Ryman Division 1 South.

The Hornets have already been relegated from the Ryman Premier, and Colbran is putting his plans for the next campaign into action now. Ryan Marriott has arrived from Billericay in the last week, along with Adrian Butler, who has had a two-week trial at MK Dons, and Nigerian Abidemi Bolaji.

“The players are still positive and still looking forward to every game,” Colbran said. “There is a target, their place next year.

“I think they are all coming round and I think Saturday was the first time they really saw what I was all about and what we are expecting from them. We have had to take a back seat, and from now on we know what we are looking for.”
