A NEAR full strength Horsham side advanced in the Brighton Charity Cup by dispatching County League outfit Ringmer 3-1 on Tuesday night.
Strikers Pat Harding, Billy Dunn and Ashley Robinson, were on target for the Hornets in a confidence boosting win, while Jamie Cade is expected to be fit for the weekend after taking a kick to the head.
The Brighton Charity Cup traditionally represents an opportunity for manager John Maggs to run the rule over youngsters, reserves and trialists but he named a strong team to try and instill some confidence.
Harding got the final touch after a goalkeeping error before Dunn volleyed in and Robinson bagged his first goal for the club.
Maggs said: “It was good to get a win. Ringmer were not a bad side and if we went down there skimpy we would have lost.”
