HORSHAM YMCA guaranteed Division One football for next season with an emphatic 5-1 over Crowborough.
Hosts YM were ahead in the sixth minute through Tom Stillwell and after spurning chances Matt Crane made it 2-0 at half-time, both headers from Dan Sullivan corners.
Crows had missed chances of their own in the first period but Nick Sullivan’s emphatic finish - again from a Dan Sullivan assist - at the start of the second half ended the contest.
Dean Cox curled home and sub Pat Soane headed in a fifth before Scott Taylor netted a consolation for a well-beaten Crowborough.
YM had needed just a point to finish out of the bottom three of County League Division One and went into the game missing several players and having not played for three weeks.
The clinical display delighted Peter Buckland, who has now been named permanent YM manager, and in his eyes sends a message out to the rest of the league that they will be far stronger next season.
