LEE Farrell is set to be named in his first Horsham squad in two years ahead of tonight’s trip to Burgess Hill in the Sussex Senior Cup.
Farrell has been training with the Hornets this season as he has battled back to full fitness after a terrible broken leg last year. And now manager John Maggs believes this could be a good opportunity to throw the striker back into the fray, after re-signing him last month.
Meanwhile, Horsham will be without the services of midfielder Ryan Woodford for tonight’s Quarter Final tie, he picked up a knee problem in the 0-0 draw with Carshalton on Saturday.
Maggs said: “Lee gives me another option from the bench and it will all be minutes on the park for him.
“It’s another key game for us and I know how keen the fans are for us to get to play in the final (at Brighton’s new Amex Stadium). And I will go as strong as I can.”
Paul Kennett is expected to come into the side in place of Woodford.
