HORSHAM YMCA boss Sammy Donnelly said there was more to come from his side after a hard fought 3-1 defeat of Hassocks on Saturday.
Strikers George Hillier and Dean Wright both netted for YM inside the first quarter of an hour, before an own goal, following some great work from substitute Timmy Martin, all but sealed the three points midway through the second half.
Robins skipper, Stuart Faith, pulled a goal back, but YM dismissed any chance of another comeback trauma, closing out the final twenty minutes with little trouble from the visitors.
“Hassocks are a side in older years that have never given up, and they showed and proved that today,” Donnelly remarked. “I think we can play better, and we have played better, but I’ll take the three points.
“The first twenty minutes I thought we were outstanding. We were far more organised today and it’s a welcome three points for everyone.”
