Broadbridge Heath were left kicking themselves after being held to a 1-1 draw at Bexhill on Saturday
Despite presentable chanecs for Gary Pricthard, Jake Holmes, Michael Wood and Ben Arthur, Bexhill’s Josh Elliott Noye tucked-away a bouncing ball when the visitors fired a free kic into the box before the break. A stunned Heath took a while to hit back in the second half, as Wood and Pritchard saw shots tipped on to the woodwork, but they slowly took control of the game.
The goal eventually came when Andy Waddingham’s ball was flicked on by Pritchard for new boy Tim Martin - signed after he was released by Horsham YMCA last week - to lob Bexhill keeper Rogers.
Heath now pushed for the win, and came close when Rogers clawed away Martin’s shot after a sharp turn.
