Billingshurst recorded an excellent victory at home by ripping Ferring apart with a blistering 10-goal show on Saturday.
Striker Oli Leslie hit five goals, while Ben Brooker and Kieran Greig both scored two and midfielder Russell Curtis was on target in the rout.
The margin of victory meant Billingshurst greatly improved their goal difference and moved up to third in the league table behind early leaders Bosham and Langney Wanderers.
Billingshurst manager Paul Cooper said: “It was an unbelievable encounter really. It was a very different Ferring side to who we played back in September and they have been under new management for the last two or three games and results had begun to pick up.
“We have begun to get a few players back from injury which has helped, but still were missing four regular starters so we have real strength in depth right now. The front two looked unplayable for the 90 minutes, but as a team everybody played their role superbly especially with the pressing side of the game which we work hard on.”
