BEN ANDREWS faces a race against time to aid Horsham’s fight to stay up.
The Horsham skipper injured his knee in the Ryman Premier match against Margate last month, and the results of a scan last week were not positive.
Andrews, so often an inspiration on the pitch for John Maggs’ relegation threatened side, has sustained a grade two level tear to his cruciate ligament. It does not require surgery but rehabilitation of the injury can only start when the centre back is moving pain free. And with time running out this season, he might not feature again.
Maggs said: “We have to say it’s doubtful for the rest of the season.
“Ben thinks he might be back for the last few games.”
Meanwhile, Horsham have signed striker Ashley Robinson from Horsham YMCA but he was unable to make his debut in the 1-1 daw with Croydon as he was not with YM for the required two week period.
