Horsham out but not disgraced

Horsham were knocked out of Sussex Senior Cup last night as they went down 1-0 away at Eastbourne Borough.

Elliott Charles’ 21st minute strike proved the difference on the night, and although The Sports were well worth their victory as Horsham struggled to really threaten, Simon Colbran’s side far from disgraced themselves against Conference South opposition.

Eastbourne finished the game with ten men when David Knight hobbled off injured and all three substitutions had already been made, but still comfortably saw out the match to progress to Round Three.
