Annie recognised for tireless Horsham efforts
Horsham Football Club stalwart Annie Raby says her FA Community Award belongs to the whole club.
Annie was presented with the award by the Sussex County FA last week in recognition of the tireless work she does behind the scenes for the Hornets.
Working up to 40 hours a week, on top of two day jobs, Annie performs duties as fixtures secretary, matchday secretary, child protection officer and under-18s matchday secretary. And that work was recognised by the presentation of the FA Community Award at the Sussex FA headquarters in Lancing last Monday following her nomination by chief executive John Lines. The award celebrates the efforts of people across the county who give their time to football at grassroots level.
Annie said: “I am not the only one, there are a lot of other people who do a hell of a lot of work for the same reasons as me.
“I enjoy watching football, I enjoy the company - but not always the stress.
“It’s my club, I have bene here a long time, and really, someone has got to do it.”
