HORSHAM boss John Maggs admitted it was only the elements which saved his side from certain defeat against basement boys Croydon Athletic last night (Tuesday).
Hosts Horsham were trailing 2-0 when the thick fog, which had already caused disruptions to the game, forced the referee to abandon the contest in the second-half.
Maggs said: “It was the only way back for us at 2-0 down.
“It was the right decision in the end. We said one of us would be moaning at the end when it is called off, it was a shocker of a performance.”
