He said: “Marv’s goal got us back in it and at 2-1 we had a couple of chances and just didn’t take them. I don’t think the result is a true reflection of the way we played.

“They had the better of the first half and in the second half we came out and did well.

“It’s a case now of picking up points. It’s not over, there’s a lot of points left and with the quality we have we are more than good enough so we have to just move on.

“If we get the next two away games out of the way and not be too far adrift we must then look at getting three points at home.

“It was an easy decision when we they asked me to come back. I love the club and it’s not too far from home for me.”
