Winger Kyle Bennett has today returned to Doncaster Rovers after a month’s loan at Crawley Town.
The midfielder featured in five of Crawley’s six games after joining last month, and though Reds boss Richie Barker was keen to keep hold of him an extension could not be agreed between the clubs.
As early ago as this morning (Thursday) Barker was still hoping to hang on to the midfielder, saying: “At the moment it won’t be renewed.
“There’s always a possibility (it could be extended). I thought he started his loan extremely well, he hasn’t quite kicked in the way we would of hoped but he’s not played a great deal of football which is why we’re looking to extend it.”
