Crawley Town winger Gwion Edwards came off the bench and scored on his Football League debut to complete a 2-0 victory against Tranmere Rovers.
The 21-year-old loanee from Premier League club Swansea admitted it was a great feeling to finally make his first debut and to score a goal within nine minutes of coming on the field.
Edwards said: “I’ve been patient waiting for my chance. I’m just proud I got on the pitch and scored my goal as well.
“I’m a winger so I really should be setting goals up, getting back and helping defend as well, taking people on, putting crosses in the box, and scoring goals is always a bonus.”
He beamed: “It’s a big achievement for me to score on my debut. Just a good feeling!”
