SUSSEX have lost captain Mike Yardy just before lunch as they reached 72-1 in the second innings against Nottinghamshire.

Nottinghamshire declared on 531 after a superb knock of 139 from Adam Voges.

FIFTY PARTNERSHIP Chris Nash brings up the 50 run stand with a punched boundary off Andre Adams to take Sussex on to 50 without loss in their second innings.

DECLARATION - Chris Read and Mark Ealham add another 30 for the seventh wicket and declare on 531-6 - a lead of 222 after putting on 102 runs in 55 minutes. A draw is still favourite, but Sussex will have to bat long enough to make sure.

WICKET - Ali Brown tries to loft Ollie Rayner over the square leg boundary, but Ed Joyce takes a good running catch to dismiss him for 42

WICKET - Adam Voges drops to one knee in a bid to sweep Ollie Rayner, the ball raps him on the pads and up goes the finger to being an end to an excellent innings.

FIFTY PARTNERSHIP - Adam Voges and Ali Brown have pushed on this morning, looking for quick runs ahead of a possible declaration. A couple of brutal sixes over mid off and mid on has given notice of their intention.
