Sussex to face Surrey in Horsham Cricket Festival

THE HORSHAM Festival of Cricket will see Sussex go head to head with local rivals Surrey in the County Championship next season.

Cricketfield Road will again host the annual five day festival which includes the LV County Championship match against Rory Hamilton-Brown’s newly promoted Surrey side, and the limited overs CB40 contest against Derbyshire Falcons - plus the week is scheduled earlier than usual, with the action starting on Wednesday June 6.

The Festival regularly attracts large crowds, it’s thought in excess of 5,000 spectators watched the 2011 festival against Worcester in both the County Championship and the CB40, in what is Horsham Cricket Club’s largest event of the year.
