BOTH Horsham and Billingshurst suffered disappointment in the Sussex T20 Cup finals day yesterday.
The teams were knocked out in the semi finals as Preston Nomads went on to win the competition against Hastings.
Billingshurst were skittled for 66 in their semi final against Nomads, Stuart Faith was the destroyer in chief with figures of 4-19. Nomads then chased down the target with ease to defeat the only non-Sussex Premier League side in the last four by eight wickets.
And in the second semi, Sam Cushing led the way with 48 as Horsham posted 119-7, but Hastings won by eight wickets thanks to an unbeaten 55 from Jason Finch.
Nomads then went on to win the final as Joe Gatting (76) and Ollie Gatting (46) helped them post 182-6, and Hastings could only respond with 123.
