Roffey captain Josh Fleming saluted his side’s bowling attack in an important seven-wicket win at home to Hastings on Saturday.
Roffey sit in the slipstream of leaders Preston Nomads, just four points behind with a game in hand after chalking up another win on Saturday.
They restricted Hastings to 171 with some fine bowling,on a deck which could have easily seen a score of 250, before casually knocking off the total with 176-3.
Fleming hailed an important win, after their draw against Brighton & Hove last week, ahead of clashes with Preston Nomads and East Grinstead.
He said: “We have some big games coming up and we needed to win on Saturday to stay in it.
“It was important to bounce back from a disappointing draw the week before.”
“It was pretty easy in the end. We did have to work hard for it though, we fielded and bowled well and then knocked the total off quite quickly.
“All the bowlers bowled well as it was a good deck and a quick outfield, we were aiming to keep them under 250.”
