Sussex 83-1

Sussex 75-1

Ninth over - A better over there, but it's ruined a little with the last ball as Luke Wright flays it through the covers.

Sussex 69-1

Eighth over - WICKET Richard Dawson comes on for some spin, and by dragging down the delivery short and wide, he encourages Hamilton-Brown (26) to both come down the pitch and chase the width. It's a simple stumping for Steve Adhsead.

Joyce continues to accumulate though, that's four more.

Luke Wright is coming to the party too, swatting Dawson away for four.

Sussex 64-1

Seventh over - Effortless stroke from Joyce through point earns him four more, and one which whistles past his hips brings four more. Sussex 56-0

Gloucs 156-8

33rd over - WICKET Massive appeal from Andy Hodd, his lone voice carries enough weight to convince the umpires a catch off Hamish Marshall behind the wicket had carried. New batsman Richard Dawson wastes little time in annoncing his arrival, slapping Mike Yardy for four.

Gloucs 148-6

32nd over - WICKET Cries of catch it as Taylor's drive flies at head heigfht through midwicket off Rory Hamilton-Brown, fine shot.

Gloucs 141-5

31st over - Taylor's cover drive just beats a despairing dive from James Kirtley for four, before an overthrow gifts the Gladiators a second run after a crafty single. Taylor makes it 11 off the over picking out the same spot as earlier.

Gloucs 61-3

16th over - Ohhs and ahhs all round Cricketfield Road as Wright squuezes Franklin for space and the edge flies just over Mike Yardy's fingertips. If that had stuck it would have been Marcus North-esque!

Two to finish the over thanks to a misfield in the deep.

Gloucs 58-3

15th over - A tight over with some decent lines from RMJ, before Marshall dabbles him away for a couple down to third man.

Gloucs 51-3

14th over - Luke Wright steaming in, and Marshall thick edges him to third man for four. Near run out chance next ball as Marshall slips going for a single, but the throw misses and Wright can't gather at the stumps.

Most expensive over so far, as Franklin drives for four, before three dot balls finish the over.

Gloucs 49-3

13th over - Robin Martin-Jenkins replaces Kirtley at the town end, and after three dots, a decent appeal for leg before gets turned down. Franklin then hooks RMJ away for a big four to ruin a good start.

Gloucs 40-3

12th over - Luke Wright comes on from the railway end, bowling at decent pace, he gets one to spit up past Marshall's nose, and keeper Andy Hodd does well to take it.

Gloucs 36-3

11th over - WICKET More excellent fielding from Hamilton-Brown prevents a single at midwicket with a scrambling effort.

And there's another caught and bowled for James Kirtley, removing dangerman Kadeer Ali as he dives to his left to take a great catch.

Gloucs 35-3

Tenth over - Kadeer Ali is quite keen to push the pace, swinging expansively at an Afafat ball, and picks out Robin Martin Jenkins.

GLoucs 35-2

Ninth over - James Kirtley's first ball thuds into Franklin's pads, but it wasn't hitting and the appeal barely gets past Kirtley's lips. That's followed up with a four square off Franklin's pads.

Gloucs 24-2

Fifth over - WICKET Quick single from Kadeer Ali before Alex Gidman lofts James Kirtley to cow corner for two runs. Another atrsngled appeal from Kirtley as Andy Hodd takes a tumbling catch off Gidman, no bat or pad involved though...

Next ball though Kirtley forces the shot from Gidman (2) and Hodd takes a regulation catch behind the stumps.

Gloucs 24-2

Fourth over - That's a chance as a catch goes down at second slip off Kadeer Ali, Yasir Arafat the unfortunate bowler... A two and a single from Ali see out the rest of the over.
