Pulborough CC captain Rohit Jagota has vowed to continue playing positively after his side eased their relegation fears in Division 2 of the Sussex Cricket League.
Kuldeep Rawat’s virtuoso all round display ensured Pulborough edged towards safety with a commanding 159 run win against Goring.
Two successive wins have shot Pulborough up to fourth in the table, 26 points clear of safety. And Rawat can claim a huge hand in the victory.
He struck an unbeaten century after sharing a 128 run fourth wicket stand with Sachin Chaudhary in Pulborough’s 230-6 declared.
Rawat was then involved in six of the Goring wickets to fall as the visitors were skittled for just 70.
Jagota said: “We have to continue to play positive cricket. But the league table is so close, all it will take is one defeat and we will be back on the back foot again.”
