AFTER their impressive draw against Brighton last weekend, Pullborough skipper Rohit Jagota is confident his side can beat Preston Nomads this weekend, in cricket’s Sussex Premier League.

Pullborough, who were promoted back to the top division last season, were unlucky not to come away with all of the points against last season’s runners up as Brighton held on to close 136-7 after seeing Pullborough reach 227-9. Jagota believes the performance has given his side a lot of belief to push on and do really well this season.

He said: “It’s a shame we didn’t beat Brighton. The results and the performance means our confidence is really high and we’re looking forward to the game this weekend.”

Jagota, who hit a better than run a ball century against Brighton, added: “It’s too early for us to start saying how well we will do this season, but we want to make a good start. We will know more halfway through the season.”
