Horsham cricketer Devon Endersby has been named the Sussex under-21 player of the year.
The 20-year-old has combined playing for his club side with Sussex Seconds and his university team, and follows in the footsteeps of the likes of Will Beer, his Horsham teammate who has gone on to enjoy success with Sussex at county level.
Endersby scored a total of 498 runs in 20 innings for the Horsham first XI this summer and also shone with the ball, taking 34 wickets at an average of 18 - the award is voted for by Sussex League umpires.
Horsham CC’s former chairman David Horsman enthused: “It could not have gone to a better person. “He is a really good lad and the umpires have recognised what he has done this year. “He does play an awful lot of cricket.”
