Henfield CC face a tense finish to the season as they fight for survival in Division 3 East of the Sussex Cricket League.
Defeat to Crowhurst Park on Saturday means Brett Moore’s side are still only 18 points clear of bottom side Seaford, so with the threat of relegation, the captain knows the finish to this season will be crucial.
It could come down to the final game of the season, with Henfield due to play Seaford. Before that, they face Burgess Hill (Saturday) and Lewes Priory (August 25).
“We have a massive game against Burgess Hill,” Moore said. “It is a must win really. As we are playing Seaford in the last game, we don;’t want to have to beat the, I would have expected them to win more games than they have done.
“We could still need two more wins to be safe.”ricker
