Taylor pays tribute to Horsham fans

LEWIS TAYLOR said he feels 'privileged' to have played in front of Horsham's fans as he gave a sad farewell to the club this week.
The 21-year-old centre midfielder has joined play-off winners AFC Wimbledon after two years at Queen Street, but this week took time out to pay tribute to everyone at the club.
"The fans at Horsham have been awesome, for the time I have been here they have always been very supportive, they are always 100 per cent behind you every day," he declared.
"I fell privileged to have played for them and in front of them, I will miss them all," he added.
Taylor said his switch had nothing to do with the Hornets' move to Worthing, but that he was keen to take on a new challenge.
"Everybody knows AFC, they are a big club who are going places so it's a step up to a higher level and I think it's a good move all round.
"I want to say a big thanks to John (Maggs) who knew nothing about me when he took me on when I was out of contract, I don't think I would be the player I am today if it wasn't for him."
Taylor also gave thanks to chairman Frank King, coaches Rob Frankland and Ian Payne, as well as former coaches Cliff Cant and Tommy Warrilow who transformed him from a right winger to a central midfielder.
