STORRINGTON'S pre season preparations have been dealt a massive blow by the sudden departure of their first team manager Jon Chalaye.

With only three weeks until the new season kicks off, chairman Malcolm McMichael described the club's situation as 'desperate' and said there was also uncertainty over how many players would sign.

"Jon leaving three weeks before the start of the season leaves us a little bit desperate and in urgent need of a new manager," said Mr McMichael.

"We also have a major problem because around seven or eight of the first team players have left which doesn't help either."
