SLINFOLD clawed their way back from the brink of defeat against Pagham to win by seven runs in a nail biting finish.

Matt Shuttlewood's 30 was the highlight of a poor Slinfold batting innings which saw them skittled out for 156, and their visitors quickly rattled up 60 without loss.

But then came spinners Simon Stevens and Tom Filby to rip through their middle order before Joe Gallagher returned to pick up the last two wickets with Pagham just eight short of victory.
