AFC ROFFEY were crowned West Sussex Football League Division 4 North league champions, their second consecutive title, as they thrashed Horsham Olympic 7-0 on Saturday.

The hosts had to win to have any chance of staying up, but were put on the back foot straight away as Roffey settled the better.

Their pressure soon paid off with a penalty which Scott Shorey scored just before half time, and after some good work from pacey winger Dan Clark Shorey grabbed his second.

After the break the visitors totally controlled the game and played some excellent passing football as Olympic found it really hard to get near the ball, Roffey soon scoring again, Shorey from the spot again to complete his hat-trick.

Another foul in the box saw Barry Ashton step up and score and further goals from Michael Simmonds, subs Oli Smith and John Richards completed the scoreline as Roffey clinched the championship and back-to-back titles.
