PRESTON Nomads have been crowned the Sussex Cricket League Premier Division champions following yesterday's washout.

The Fulking-based Nomads required just four bonus points from thier fixture against Eastbourne, and with no play possible anywhere in the county, all teams recieved ten points for abandoned games.

Horsham finished ninth, one place above the relegation zone.

In Division 2, Roffey's wafer slim chances of promotion were dashed last week - Haywards Heath and Lewes Priory have gone up, while Steyning's relegation alongside Sidley is confirmed.

Slinfold settle for second in Division 3 West, while Billingshurst take seventh and Henfield ninth.
