Maggs springs surprise in last ever Queen Street game
Football - Brighton Charity Cup final
MATT GEARD is the surprise choice of striker for Horsham's Brighton Charity Cup final tonight - the last game to be played at their Queen Street ground.
The utility man, who usually features at left back or in a defensive midfield role, will line up alongside Lee Farrell up front for tonight's final against East Preston.
The Hornets hope to go out in style and retain the trophy in their last action at the 104 year old ground, which has been sold to property developers.
Maggs said: "Matt (Geard) has played a couple of times up front for Burgess Hill. He has played well for me and what I'm doing is giving a chance to everyone who has been loyal and consistent for the club.
"I will have to see how this goes."
Horsham: Mansfield, Hemsley, French, Graves, Myall, Bolger, Mingle, Taylor, Charman, Farrell, Geard.
Subs (from): Clarke, Salaam, Austin, Davis, Howard, Hawthorne, Frankland.
