HORSHAM manager John Maggs has apologised to the supporters who witnessed the 'embarrassing' 6-1 defeat at Harrow Borough.

Hornets fans continued to voice their support for the yellow and greens despite the humbling score line, and Maggs said it was the only highlight of a 'dire day for the club'.

"Everything went wrong and nothing went right and to be honest we were smashed up but a Harrow side who put more effort in and scored six but it could easily have been ten.

"We were bordering on embarrassment and I have got to apologise to our supporters who followed us.

"There was a big number of them who travelled down and they were just brilliant – I really feel for them."
