A BROADBRIDGE Heath teenager is celebrating being called up to represent Great Britain.
15-year-old Kirsty Richardson is set to make her international debut for the junior side in the Gardena Spring Trophy in Italy at the start of next month.
The figure skater, who is currently studying for her GCSEs at Tanbridge House, was one of a handful of youngsters invited to apply for the place after she finished fifth place in the British Championships in January.
That result pushed her up the national rankings to ninth place, and after her coach put her name forward to represent GB she received the good news last week.
"I was really excited," said Kirsty, who will be 16 when she travels to Italy to compete against the best young figure skaters up to the age of 18.
"I wasn't sure who they were going to pick.
"It will be a good experience for me, I think I will be a bit nervous though," she admitted.
