HORSHAM captain Howard Kasey has warned not to expect fireworks when Horsham start their Cockspur Cup campaign on Sunday.

Kasey's side travel to Walton on Thames for their second round match, but the 2055 winners of the national knockout cup competition do not have high hopes of a good year in this season's competition.

Horsham had a bye through to the second round and will look to improve on last season's fourth round exit when they lost out to a Kashish Ibrahim inspired Preston Nomads.

Kasey is cautious about his side's chances, and stresses the team is one in transition, lacking the type of experience the 2005 side had.

"We want to do really well in the competition but where we were three years ago is a long time past really," he commented.

"You cannot compare to what happened then, it was a great time but that is in the past now and really we are starting all over again. It will be great to do well in it.

"Every round is more or less like a cup final so we will see how it goes. It all depends on us getting a strong side out."
