COACH Warren Gilmour has warned Horsham face a crunch match this weekend following a 4-1 defeat which left them second bottom of the table.

The Reds went down at home against Old Loughtonians on Sunday and now occupy the East Conference relegation play-off spot.

On Saturday, Horsham play Staines - who are just one place above them - in the last game before the mid-winter break.

Goalscoring is Horsham's Achilles heel this season - just nine scored in the league compared to Staines' 20.

"We are playing some good hockey but not converting that into goals, that's what our problem is," Gilmour said.

"I would be more worried if we were playing badly, we need a bit of luck to come our way, the attitude is very positive.

"This weekend is very big. Three points will give us some confidence going into the Christmas break."
