GYMNASTS from Horsham have capped a remarkable year with a series of superb displays on the national stage.

The club, based at Pavilions in the Park, is one of the premier bases for the sport in the south east, and saw its four leading gymnasts earn a host of medals this season.

After representing Great Britain Juniors against France, Jocelyn Hunt, 13, won the junior section of the Welsh Open, and followed that up with 12th in the British Team Championships.

Jocelyn also dominated the Pegasus Invitational by winning the all around in her age group, before going on to claim seventh all around, fourth vault and eighth on the bars at the British Junior Championships.

A solid performance at the British Championships gave Amy Middleton, 13, a 12th place finish. Amy also shone at the Pegsus Invitational, with a gold or silver medal in each event.

Francesca Vincent, also 13, completed a solid performance at the Pegasus Invitational and British Championships finishing in sixth position in the bar final.

And ten-year-old Lydia Burgess trained in France with the national team to complete the season, and confirmed her potential with a third place finish at the national finals, this was followed by dominating the Pegasus Invitational.
