McCallum 90 (+1)

HORSHAM suffered a heart breaking 2-1 home loss to Sutton United today, going down to an injury time winner.

Gavin McCallum netted in the first minute of added time to bring an end to a pulsating second half.

Sutton had gone ahead through Adam Wilde, but the Hornets hit back when Lee Carey's corner flew in without being touched.

Horsham had the better chances throughout, but it was Sutton who pounced late in the game when McCallum tapped home Craig Dundas' cross.

90 (+2) Paul Seuke has come up for a corner.......and Horsham played the corner short, it comes to nothing.

90 (+1) mins: GOAL. Sutton break Horsham hearts. Gavin McCallum nets after Dundas bulldozes his way to the by line.
Horsham 1-2 Sutton

87 mins: Jacob Mingle pokes an effort over from close range after Nicholls drops a Carey corner - this could strill go either way.

85 mins: And with his first touch Dundas just screws a shot wide after grappling for possessin.

84 mins: Sutton sub: Palmer off, Craig Dundas on.

82 mins: Booking. Sam Page sees yellow for hauling down the dangerous McAllum on the edge of the box. And MacAllum forces an excellent save from Seuke from the free kick.

80 mins: The Hornsts counter again and Carney slides Farrell in, but the sub's shot is a tame effort - he looks in some pain after that too.

78 mins: Sutton sub. Wilde off, Delando Smith on.

The game has exploded into life since the leveller with a tide of yellow and green pouring forward and every opportunity now.

71 mins: Another Carey ball causes havoc and Nicholls can only palm it into the air for substitute Liam Baitup to head over with his first touch after replacing Evan Archibald.

70 mins: GOAL. So much for losing their way. Sutton give away a corner and Lee Carey whips it in on the wind and it goes straight in!Horsham 1-1 Sutton Utd

After that flurry of attacking intent, the hosts seem to have their way, changes look likely soon.

A series of Horsham corners come to nothing, but at least the Hornets have been stung into life.

60 mins: Lee Farrell stops a Charman shot without knowing anything about it, good response from Horsham.

58 mins: GOAL. And it's no more than Sutton deserve for their start to the half. Gavin McAllum skips round Andy Howard and plays in Adam Wilde who lifts the ball over the on rushing Seuke.Horsham 0-1 Sutton Utd

53 mins: Horsham spark into life and a great break sees Lee Carney's shot tipped round the post. Much better from the Hornets as they covered the length of the pitch in the blink of an eye.

51 mins: Almost a freak goal for Alan Bray as the Sutton left back played in a hopeful ball which just floated over Seuke's bar.

Sutton have made a much better start to the second half, they look sharper then they had done, and Horsham have go to be careful at the back, they've already almost been caught out by Gavin McCallum.

46 mins: Seuke has to claw a floated cross out from under his bar, that one held up dangerously on the strong wind.

The weather is so awful as we start the second half, the floodlights have been turned on. The pitch still looks lush though - if a little slick.

HORSHAM have endured a frustrating first 45 minutes at home to Sutton United today.

Lee Carey and Lee Carney have forced Sutton keeper Paul Nicholls into saves which briefly lit up a disappointing half. While Paul Seuke produced the save of the half deep into stoppage time to deny Dean Palmer.

45 (+3): Dean Palmer draws the best save of the match so far from Seuke, diving to his left the Horsham keeper pushes away the Sutton man's effort.

44 mins: Paul Seuke gets away with it when he comes for a high ball and is beaten by Chukki Eribenne who heads wide.

40 mins: At last it's starting to warm up here. Charman tees up Carney for a venemous swerving 20 yard drive which Nicholls palms away.

39 mins: Booking. Charman goes in the book, we're struggling to see what for though.

38 mins: Well worked chance for Evan Archibald after Lee Farrell touched on Charman's header. But the striker's shot is weak and straight at Nicholls.

Sutton are doing a good job of stifling Horsham with quick pressure when they have the ball at the back, a good display of defending from the front.

30 mins: Horsham sub. Mark Knee is unable to recover from the knock he suffered in the clash with Palmer, and is replaced by Lee Farrell.

29 mins: Booking: Dean Palmer sees yellow for Sutton after bringing Mark Knee down in the centre circle.

27 mins: First moment of danger for Horsham, Sutton's Hann tiptoes into the box and the defenders are too scared to put a foot in, before he drags a shot narrowly wide.

Frustration for the Hornets faithful, the home side has failed to take advantage of too many potentially good positions.

21 mins: Booking. Russell Eldridge brings down Matt Hann as the Sutton man bears down on the Horsham box.

Some good chances to strike on the break are coming Horsham's way, but the final ball is letting them down.

18 mins: Jack Page dances to the edge of the of the box and although his pass pushes Mark Knee wide, it's still a good chance. Knee however scuffs the shot on his weaker right foot.

14 mins: Gary Charman turns his man inside out and flashes an effort across goal, somehow missing a sea of legs.

It's all pretty stuff in midfield but neither side seems able to find a killer pass.

The Hornets are on top so far, Jacob Mingle and Mark Knee have looked clever and very capable of opening Sutton up.

20 seconds: Horsham should have gone one up instantly. Mark Knee bundled his way into the box after a defensive error and laid it off for Lee Carey but he failed to beat Paul Nicholls from point blank range.

TOP scorer Evan Archibald has returned for Horsham as the Hornets look to bounce back from two successive defeats today.

John Maggs' men have gone down to Harlow Town and Dover in the past seven days, and will welcome the return of three-goal striker Evan Archibald from a dead leg.

Alex Haddow is missing with the injury sustained at Dover on Tuesday.
