FOREST Football Club go into a potential winner takes all clash against Uckfield Town tomorrow, with their County League future on the line.
Both clubs know a win would ensure they are not in danger of relegation, with a host of teams hoping to gain promotion from feeder divisions such as the West Sussex League.
And the Roffey-based side have undergone something of a transformation
under the guidance of Terry Eames, who stepped in midway through the season when confidence was at rock bottom.
A fair run of results has culminated in two important wins in the last ten days, which have dragged Forest away from the danger zone - at Ifield Edwards and at home to Rottingdean Village.
"It's just confidence," Eames commented.
"When I took over they were at a low ebb, they were performing to some extent, but it takes a while for a team to gel.
"They have begun to have some confidence in their ability and in themselves."
It's not just the wins that Eames points to, a battling performance when they went down 3-2 at Bexhill, a match they led thanks to a Jason Allen goal until two minutes from time. "It (confidence) does make a difference," Eames commented.
"We were really unlucky to lose down there, it was our best performance of the season. We came away from that with a lot of confidence.
"We had faith in what we were doing and that came through against Ifield.
"It will go down to the wire this weekend, it's a big, big game. A win or a draw and we will go above Bosham who are a point above us and that will be a good finish for us."
