A GLOWING Ofsted report has been given to a boarding school in Washington.

Windlesham House School received an 'outstanding' verdict after a school inspection was held late last year.

Emphasis was placed on the school's 'happy environment' and the range of activities and facilities available.

In the report, inspectors Liz Driver and Kevin Whatley said: "The school is a happy environment with children who are happy and relaxed.

"Relationships between staff and children are relaxed, friendly and appropriate in manner."

In the report inspectors congratulated the school on addressing issues raised from the previous Ofsted in March 2005.
