A STUDENT from Partridge Green has made it to the finals of a national student theatre festival.

Ross Drury's production of 4.48 Psychosis by Sarah Kane was chosen from over 100 shows around the country to be performed at the National Student Drama Festival at Scarborough in March.

Ross, aged 22, is a former Steyning Grammar School student. He is currently in his final year of a Drama and Theatre Studies degree at the University of Kent.

He and his production team are now appealing for sponsors and donors to help raise the money to take the show up to the annual festival.

He said: "I was obviously very excited when I heard I'd got in because I get to take a show to a new audience, but it's more like I've got a lot of work to do than I'm jumping around with happiness.

"I had entered a show last year which got close so it had become a bit of an obsession of mine to get a show in."

4.48 Psychosis, a dark tale about a woman struggling against depression, will be one of the 12 student shows to be performed at the festival.

The National Student Drama Festival will run from the March 15-21; if you are interested in sponsoring the show email lw52@kent.ac.uk or call producer Louisa Webb on 07929 348303.

Many shops remain open on Bank Holiday Mondays. Do you think:
They should be open
They should all close
It should be the decision of individual shops
