A SECTION of Pulborough's flood plain cannot be sold as 117 plots of land, the district council has said.

Dreamland Investment was selling the land, which is off the London Road by the River Arun, as freehold plots for possible future development.

But Horsham District Council (HDC) has served an article four notice preventing it being divided into separate plots.

The 117 plots with sizes varying from 124sqm to 261sqm were up for sale for between £9,900 and £20,880 but after HDC's ruling the company is looking to sell the land for around £80,000.

Aman Kamren, manager of Dreamland Investment, confirmed that the land would now be sold as one site and stressed that he had not sold any individual plots before HDC served the notice.

Full report in the County Times.

Many shops remain open on Bank Holiday Mondays. Do you think:
They should be open
They should all close
It should be the decision of individual shops
