Exciting science
FAMILIES can enjoy the excitement of science during two weekends of fascinating experiments and workshops at Amberley Working Museum on March 8/9 and 15/16, when the museum stages its annual event for National Science and Engineering Week.
Local schools have got involved, and the Science Roadshow from Steyning Grammar School will be on hand, offering a variety of experiments and displays on the themes of Forces and Light.
Pupils and staff from Bishop Luffa School, Chichester will be in attendance as well, presenting activities under the banners of Water and Paper.
Museum staff and volunteers will also be busy helping families explore the nature of electricity, with a variety of experiments and high-voltage demonstrations, some of which are literally hair-raising!
"This event grows in popularity each year," said Museum Education Officer, Jane Hogg.
"Children, parents, and even grandparents find the activities give them a real understanding of scientific principles, as well as a good deal of fun in the process, and this is the aim of the whole week nationally."
Amberley Working Museum is open from 10am each day over the two weekends.
