A JACK Russell was stolen from Henfield around midday today (Friday March 14).

PC Paul Slater, of Pulborough police, said the dog's owner was returning from a bike ride when she saw a man put it in the back of a green double cabbed pick-up truck. On the rear drop down gate of the truck it said 'choose a builder'.

The white and brown dog, who answers to the name Bunty, was stolen from the Sandy Lane area of the village.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Pulborough police on 0845 60 70 999.

Sussex Police,

Pulborough 15/03/2008 22:34:37
We are pleased to inform readers that Bunty was found earlier today running loose in the Brighton area and has now been reunited with her naturally delighted family. Apart from being tired and hungry she is none the worse for her ordeal.

The owners would like to pass on their thanks for the interest shown by everyone.

The investigation continues and we'd still like to hear from anyone with information.

They should be open
They should all close
It should be the decision of individual shops
