YOUNGSTERS are set to benefit from a brand-new adventure playground at Southwick Recreation Ground.
People were asked earlier this year to visit the park and choose their favourite playground design.
The new playground, designed by Proludic, will feature slides, rides and more.
Viridor Waste Management is contributing £35,000 towards the scheme, the remaining £61,000 coming from Adur District Council.
Come to lifeLocal mum and district councillor Emma Evans said: "This is the first of many projects we would like to see happen in the park.
"Hopefully, seeing this playground come to life will encourage more mums and dads to join in.
"We've had great support locally, especially from Eastbrook Primary School, so thank you to them."
Children's needsAdur council parks manager Clive Bramble said: "This is wonderful news for the children and parents of Southwick who have worked so hard together to make sure the children's needs and ideas are provided for in the new site.
"We must also thank Viridor for providing local communities with funds to help make their dreams come true."
The exisiting playground will close after the October half-term school holiday, on Monday, November 3, with the new playground expected to open on November 21.
